Interesting AR prototypes using panoramic images. Indeed, accurately registering geolocation-based AR into the real-world is one of its limitation. This is already changing (such as Aurasma) and will continue to over the course of this year as other geo-AR apps such as Layar and Wikitude start to integrate image tracking too.
Using panoramic images also has an advantage of enabling users to view AR in locations that they cannot physically get to - as if they were there. It would be great if you could hook your prototype into something like Google Street View along with a back-end service so that anyone could attach AR 3D models into any Street View panoramic.
