- By 2012 Internet video will account for over 50 percent of consumer Internet traffic
- Traffic from wireless devices will exceed traffic from wired devices by 2015
- The number of devices connected to IP networks will be twice as high as the global population in 2015
- Globally, mobile data traffic will increase 26 times between 2010 and 2015
- Mobile video traffic will exceed 50 percent for the first time in 2011
- The top 1 percent of mobile data subscribers generate over 20 percent of mobile data traffic
- Average smartphone usage doubled in 2010
- Smartphones represent only 13 percent of total global handsets in use today, but they represent over 78 percent of total global handset traffic
- Android approaches iPhone levels of data use
- 3 million tablets were connected to the mobile network, and each tablet generated 5 times more traffic than the average smartphone
