What is a (mobile) Widget

Old (July ‘06) but concise summary of Widgets - the ‘web 2.0’ applets for the mobile world. They are small applets that do simple things well. They are fairly easy to develop and can be (apparently) combined together. WidSets is the one I’ve been playing with.
