Google Goggles is like Nokia’s Point and Find; an image-based search engine for mobile phones. Google have switched off the capability for it to give you details of strangers in the street from a photo until it has fully assessed the privacy implications. At present the face recognition is basic but will only improved with time. Privacy issues around AR are growing as AR applications become more prevalent and sophisticated.
