Microsoft Mouse 2.0 Multitouch (via Paul Tyler)lLooks like a simple intuitive increment on a well established method of computer interaction. The problem with multi-touch is that it’s most suited to table top-like surfaces, not vertical monitors of desktop PCs. These mice offer access to multi-touch interation whilst keeping the input grounded on the desk’s surface. An alternative would be a multi-touch graphics tablet. This feels more like an incremental learning step for users, from scroll wheel to 2D finger-gesture input to multi-touch, which would require some learning but not a re-learning.
