Press release from the newly-formed Augmented Reality Consortium currently consisting of eight companies. “The AR Consortium’s goals include providing a forum for members to meet, share ideas, and discuss issues facing the growth of the industry, as well as open a dialog about emerging standards and protocols.While we are currently limiting membership to business entities for whom AR is their primary focus; in the future we plan to welcome individual leaders and pioneers working in academia, development, and other areas of the field who are actively involved in pioneering AR research, application, design, and theory.”
